Short answer: orders are placed by text and collected in person, free, from our kitchen in Boardman. You can also find us at farmers markets and local festivals. We do not deliver or ship — Ohio’s cottage food rules permit sales directly from the home where the food is made, not by courier or mail. That is the honest limit of what we can legally do today.

Why no delivery or shipping
We bake under Ohio’s Cottage Food Production Operation rules, which are generous in most ways — no licence, no inspection, no fee, no cap on what we can sell. In exchange, the state is specific about where a cottage food operation may sell.
The Ohio Department of Agriculture lists those places exactly: directly to the consumer from the home where the products are produced, through licensed grocery stores, registered farm markets, farmers markets, licensed restaurants, and at festivals organised by a political subdivision lasting no more than seven days.
Courier delivery and mail are not on that list. Plenty of home bakers deliver anyway. We would rather stay inside the rule and tell you why than quietly bend it and hope nobody asks.
Shipping needs a licensed commercial kitchen. That is the plan, and it is the next thing we are working towards.
Order minimum
There is a $25 minimum. Everything is baked after you order, so one brownie costs the same oven time as a dozen. There is no legal minimum — this one is ours.
How ordering works
- Build your bag and press Review & send order.
- Your messaging app opens with the order already written. Press send.
- We reply with the total and collection times that week.
- You pay by Zelle, or cash when you collect.
- We bake fresh, you collect.
Freshness
Everything is made after you order, not pulled off a shelf. Brownies are best within five days, or frozen up to three months. Bars carry a date on the wrapper — 12 months for dark, 10 for milk.
Batch numbers
Every box carries a batch number and a bake date. Ohio does not require it, but it means that if anything is ever wrong we can trace exactly which bake it came from and contact everyone who received it.
Labelling
Every item carries its statement of identity, net weight in both US and metric units, a full ingredient list in descending order by weight, a “Contains” allergen statement, our business name and address, and the statement “This product is home produced.” in ten-point type — exactly as Ohio requires.
